Track Types
-
Frontrunning: Try to stay at the front for most of the race. Getting drafts at the beginning is especially useful to get into the front. Many frontrunning tracks feature technical shortcuts and rail strategies that you need to learn in order to win.
-
Bagging: Stay at the back to get good items and lots of coins, then use those items to make a comeback by taking shortcuts or dodging the shock (or both).
-
Shroomer: Miss the start boost to pull triple mushrooms at the first item set, then use them to take a big shortcut each lap.
-
ShroomStar: Hybrid between Shroomers and Baggers. You’ll want to get two items at the start (ideally triple mushrooms + star, hence the name), but then you’ll go as fast as possible, taking shortcuts with the triple shrooms and protecting youself from the shock using the star.
