When played normally and arriving from Acorn Heights

Mario Circuit

Item Box Track Type: Bagging
Shock Best Shock Spot: Beginning of section 2 (from AH) / second item set in section 3 (normal version)

Be careful not to overbag when playing normally, since the track is very short. The section 2 shortcut can be taken with a single mushroom by charge jumping and tricking off the pipe. If arriving from Acorn Heights, expect the shock to happen before the section 2 shortcut, otherwise expect it on section 3.

Arriving from Boo Cinema

Mario Circuit 1

Item Box Track Type: Bagging
Shock Best Shock Spot: Chain into second item set

The track itself is very short, make most of your comeback en route. Chain a dodge item into the second item set and you’ll be able to take a big shortcut while being safe from the shock.

Arriving from Dry Bones Burnout, Toad's Factory, or Bowser's Castle

Mario Circuit 2

Item Box Track Type: Bagging
Shock Best Shock Spot: Beginning of final lap

Take the big shortcut with a dodge item since it’s a pretty good shock spot. You can get an extra shroomless shortcut by charge jumping on the ramp and tricking on the flagpole.

Arriving from Starview Peak, Dandelion Depths, or Moo Moo Meadows

Mario Circuit 3

Item Box Track Type: Bagging
Shock Best Shock Spot: Chain into second item set

The biggest shortcut is right after the third item set and if you get shocked before it, you do not have enough time to pull a mushroom at that set to take the shortcut.
